Default New Skill - Death Roulette

Not sure if this is an actual skill, or if this is in the right forum, but here goes:

Death Roulette

Energy: 15
Randomly kill 1 player or monster in the area.

Could be cool, if you're doing a 1on1 you have a 50% of dying/winning, but if you're soloing you have a greater chance of winning, but there is still a big risk. I think the skill should be for necromancers and you shouldn't be able to increase it's effect with attributes. What do you think?

This would be a great spell espically in PvP, if it works like heal party and only affects chars on your radar. Have 1 person charge in and use the spell 8 to 1 odds in their favor have a team of necros do this hehe. Or when you fight glint.

But seriously this skill is a little to powerful.

Yeah, I thought a little bit more about it and would be a big exploit skill. If there was a boss you had to fight, lots of people would keep using this skill until it works in their favor. I think there should be a limit on this skill, like maybe you can only use it once every 10 minutes or something...

I think this skill would be fun, but allow for way too much in party sabotage. I could just imagine some bored guy with nothing to do traveling through a long mission with a party and right before the end suddenly start spamming this and completely blowing the quest.

If you want game challenge to consist of pure chance, use /roll with your friends outside of towns. PvE and PvP are conquered with skill and experience, not dumb luck.

Couldnt agree more, this game was marketed(sp) as a game that requires, and rewards skill, not hours played. All the players of a team enter with this roulette skill loaded, they all have a reusable rez and rez sig as well. Yeah its random, but you can pretty much count on 4 of yours and 4 of theirs dropping in the first 4 seconds. One team is ready for it and rezzes immediately..now its 8 vs 4. No skill.

However, huge brownie points for creativity. Its a fun idea, unfortunately I dont think it has a place in GW.

Yeah, maybe you're right, but I do think maybe a similar skill should be made (i.e. one that doesn't involve instant death), who knows...

What if it knocked them down 50% of life, or down to 10 life left or something like that... not an auto-kill, but some serious hurting

While I don't mind having small probabilites to occur in skills, maybe one that has a chance of doing double damage, I think a skill that kills one creature on the field is just kind of stupid. For one thing, it would be exploited during bosses, and if it weren't usable against boss monsters, the risk of killing yourself or a teammate would be greater than the prospect of instantly killing an non-boss enemy. If spells like these start to get added to the game, it'll defeat all the strategy. That's the reason I don't play collectable card games anymore. Your opponent has a 1/60 chance of drawing a card that can wipe out all of the "strategy" you put together for the last ten turns. I'd rather learn how to play a true strategy game like Chess or Go.
